Cape Verde is celebrating 40 years of independence and overseas property developer The Resort Group says it is causing quite a stir in the overseas property market.
The Resort Group, which specialises in developing luxurious beach front hotels and resorts in partnership with top hotel operators, is running a number of events in Cape Verde to mark the independence from Portugal, which took place on 5 July 1975. It is also sharing 40 facts about the country.
Cape Verde has been named one of the top 10 countries in the world for long term tourism growth which is set to have an impact on the archipelago’s real estate investment market.
Often referred to as the African Caribbean, the islands off the coast of West Africa have seen tourism numbers increase by 115% since 2000 and officials expect a million visitors this year.
Cape Verde remains a relatively unknown holiday destination although the hugely appealing 10-island archipelago in West Africa has risen in popularity among British soap stars and celebrities, alerting other Brits to its many charms.
