What is a feed? 

• A feed is a special data file containing all the details you wish to be published.  We use xml format.
• You will need to subscribe to a portal feed company or be capable of generating your own xml feed.
• A feed company normally automatically uploads your feed to our server every 24 hours so none of your listings will ever be more than 24 hours out of date.

Accepting your feed

• Propertyportal.com can provide an FTP account for you to upload your feed.
• Propertyportal.com can download your feed (XML) from an http / ftp location, provided by your organisation.
• Propertyportal.com can read data directly from your MS SQL / MySQL server, using logon credentials provided by your organisation.

Do you accept Rightmove format?

• Yes.  We preferproperty listers to provide their feed in our xml specification asdetailed above as it is more modern and efficient than the Rightmove format.  However, if it is preferred, we can accept Rightmove format.

Do I need a feed?

• Do you have over 200 properties to list on our website?  If so, we recommend using a feed. 
• Any property professional with multiple listings can provide a feed to Propertyportal.com. 

What can I list?

• Any type of property, anywhere in the world.  Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Agricultural, Horticultural - anything, anywhere!UK or overseas.

Do I have to use a feed?

• If you don't want a feed or prefer to manage your properties one at a time, you can create an account online and upload your property listings manually. 

What is a feed company?

• A company that specialises in supplying the software and services required to create a listings feed and upload it to our server.
• If you already publish to a portal site or are working with portal feed companies in the UK or overseas, there is a strong chance you will be using industry standard software and data feeds.
• If you wish to add us to your current portal subscription, it is likely you will easily be able to publish to Propertyportal.com without having to re-input your data. 

Who are these feed companies?

• Some UK portal feed companies - Aspasia, Dezrez, Vebra.
• Some European portal feed companies - JanelaDigital.
• Some US portal feed companies - ListHub, postLets, vflyer, Point2Agent. 

Can you help me get set up?

• If you wish to list, are new to publishing to a portal site, or need introducing to our publishing partners then please contact us and we will assist with all the necessary arrangements in setting up your account.

What is manual listing?

• Manual listing is using our website to manually add your properties to our listing database.
• All your properties will appear on the Propertyportal.com website once they have been approved (either automatically as a trusted lister, or via our listing administrators).

Should I manually list?

• Do you have less than 200 properties to list on our website?  If so, you may wish to manually list. 
• Any property professional with multiple listings can manually list on Propertyportal.com.
